IG standing seam has unique durability, a higher curb appeal, and allows for low-sloped roofs. It’s designed to perform exceptionally against weather conditions and can be used for either metal roofing or metal walls.
The standing seam system is characterized by its raised vertical seams that run continually from the roof’s gutter to its ridge with a hidden fastener system. After installation, the only major maintenance required is checking around penetrations such as vent pipes, gas pipes, etc. They have a long lifespan and under ideal conditions, they last up to 50 years.
These systems are typically used on lower sloped roofs, often down to ¼:12 plus has no length restriction because it’s manufactured in one sole piece on site. The standing seam system is considered hydrostatic due to its high watertight performance, making it ideal for almost any application.
